Furga Babydoll
Furga Babydoll Dark Brown Hair 16" Lovely Doll - 1960's, 70's This is a chubby babydoll marked FURGA on her neck, with the Furga logo. Furga dolls are made in Italy. They are very glamorous dolls; even the babydolls are beautiful. This babydoll has lovely sculpting, especially in the arms and hands which are dimpled and chubby like a real baby. The face is sweet with large brilliant blue eyes, dark lashes, full cheeks and a pretty rosebud mouth. Her dark brown hair is shiny and still has the original wave in it. I don't think the doll was played with, she is like new. The outfit is all replaced; I don't know what she wore originally but what she is wearing is very pretty on her. Furga Babydoll is jointed in the usual places at hips, shoulders and neck. Doll is 16 inches tall and wears a chubby size. She is a bent leg baby but is able to stand on her own for a little bit, possibly because of the shoes she is wearing. She can sit on a table, but she also looks cute perched on a doll chair or even a trike or riding horse. We have posed her on a box in several ways so you can see that she would look good with various accessories (which we don't have.) Her bright blue eyes are clear and her lashes are full. Face paint looks good. Her complexion is very peachy; which is typical of the Furga dolls. Body and legs are heavy quality plastic and the arms/head are soft vinyl. She is not marked with a date; most of the Furga dolls I have come across were from the 1960's or 70's. They were sold through USA department stores during that time. But I don't know a precise date for this doll.
