AA Black Doll - 1970 YUMMY newborn by Uneeda - Precious Little Darlin!
The name Yummy was introduced in the 1950's (or possibly earlier) and Uneeda continued to design Yummy dolls for years. This Baby Yummy is wearing her original blue gingham dress and comes in her original box (but the box is falling apart and some of it is missing.)
Yummy is the sweet, petite 11 or 12 inch size that we like to call our "Lil Darlins." The doll is in new condition, despite being 44 years old. She is a cloth-body doll with vinyl arms, legs and head. Hair is rooted.
Her box is damad and pieces missing. The box does provide a lot of good information (more than most Uneeda boxes do.) It says she is foam filled. The box describes her as a soft, cuddly Bundle of Love. Bundle of Love was a phrase that Uneeda often used to describe their dolls, and also to name them.
The box says Yummy was made in MCMLXX, which is 1970. Style No. 61-21310 The box also describes these exclusive Uneeda creations:
