Uneeda YUMMY Doll
1950's YUMMY Doll with her own BOX - Uneeda Cutie! #U1002
This all vinyl cutie doll is 12 inches long and the doll is unmarked but the box identifies her as the YUMMY baby which can suck her own bottle when you squeeze her: her mouth makes sucking motions. She has bright blue eyes with full lashes and she's made of all soft vinyl, jointed at neck, shoulders and hips. Her rooted hair is blonde and pretty. Most likely this doll was never played with, but the box is open (cellophane missing) so she's not pristine clean. I did wash her face some, but I no longer have facilities for cleaning all the dolls I sell.
The bottle appears to be original too. Her panties were probably original but the natural rubber elastic had gone to goo and was sticky everywhere, including all over the doll, so I tossed them and got the goo off of her. And now she has a new pair of vintage panties instead.
The box is a Carry-style box but it's very fragile and flimsy so I wouldn't recommend using it that way. There is cellophane on one side only. There's a cute Stork design on the box.
She has a very pretty face and big pretty eyes. This doll's face is similar to that of Prithilla, who was a Uneeda doll that could suck her thumb or blow up balloons when you squeezed her. Prithilla was sold in the late 1950's and this doll appears to be approximately the same era.
