1960 Uneeda Sweetums... This lovely Uneeda babydoll has the lemon color hair that's somewhat rare: it's platinum blonde with a yellow sheen. She is probably from 1959-1961. The doll does have separated toes (an indication of 1950's vintage) but she also has a blow-molded plastic body (indication of 1960's vintage) and her arms and legs are hard vinyl. The head is soft vinyl.
She is a 19 inch drink and wet doll. She does not have the tear ducts so she is probably a Sweetums babydoll (DewDrop was Uneeda's tears crybaby doll.) She does have the Baby Dollikin Face which is one of the loveliest face molds of the 1950's or 60's, with little dimples below the eyes and a sweet, soft smile, and big pretty eyes.
The dress has the donut snaps on the back, which is confirmation that this is indeed a Uneeda dress because the donut snaps were typical of Uneeda.
