Debteen LMR Style 1950's Fashion Doll Red Polkadotted Dress
This pretty little Miss is 10 inches tall. She is marked with a P on the back of her neck, and her body is stamped 38, VH-1. The P on the back of the neck was a generic mark, indicating this doll might have been sold through any number of smaller doll companies. Generally the P mark is associated with the Cosmopolitan Dolls company, but Uneeda also used fashion dolls with the P mark and so did others. So it's hard to say who made her, unless the VH-1 means something.
Miss P has a one piece vinyl body: she is not jointed. The only joint is the vinyl head/neck, which can turn side to side. The outfit (dress with matching panties) is most likely Mommy-made, but whoever made it did a very nice job and it looks professional. The doll does not have shoes.
She has blueish-gray eyes which are clearer than they look in the photos. She has molded lashes. Her dark brown hair is full with no missing plugs or haircuts. Her face paint is still pretty. There is a pinkish spot on her chin which may be part of her original coloring or maybe not: it looks ok and I didn't notice it until I inspected the doll close up.
This was most like a budget version of the popular 10 inch fashion dolls, but she's a nice doll in good condition, and lightly played with.
