Ideal HP Posie or Saucy Walker Doll 1950's
Ideal Saucy Walker or Posie doll is 17 inches tall. She is a hard plastic walker with soft vinyl head. Hair is rooted saran. Pretty blue eyes are crystal clear with full lashes. Face paint is very pretty, and original except for the cheek color which was refreshed a little.
Her beautiful outfit is a modern Terri Lee ensemble which includes taffeta dress, tights, shoes and little panties with rumba ruffles on the backside. The outfit alone retailed for $40. The doll is in excellent condition, gently played with and no damage to mention. Ideal Doll, VP 17 on the head and the body is marked IDEAL DOLL W16. She has a crier that works.
It's hard to know if she is Posie or Saucy Walker. The faces were very similar or possibly identical. According to the older Blue Ideal book, the head is marked like a Posie doll, and the body is marked like a Saucy Walker. (This is the way she was when I got her, and it doesn't appear as if there's been any body-swapping.) She is 17 inches tall the way the Posies are supposed to be. She does not have flirty eyes. So it's possible that Ideal did variations of their dolls.
