The dolls in this album are Bye-Lo reproductions. One is porcelain and the other is a modern reproduction kit. The original Bye-Lo babydoll was modeled after a newborn baby, designed by Grace Putnam in the early 1900's. I believe it was a bisque doll. It became a sales sensation, and there were many copycats. Not only is the head mold a distinctive feature of the doll, but the unusual frog-like body shape is also considered a feature of a real Bye-Lo babydoll.
