Big Eye dolls were made in the 1960's, early 1970's. They were part of the "Big Eye" fad, inspired by artists such as Eden, Eve, Margaret Keane, Gig and many others. The Big Eye artists painted children and animals with huge sad eyes. This was a cheap dimestore doll, but she is very popular with Big Eye collectors. She is small, approximately 8 inches if I recall correctly.
