Hanes Baby Doll 1951 by Horsman
This 1951 Hanes babydoll was made by Horsman as an advertising doll for the Hanes company. It is wearing an actual size 0 Hanes sleeper set that is two-piece and snaps together. The dolls wore pink, blue or yellow. This one has her original pink set, which is labeled. The doll itself has no marks or labels. She is 18 inches long. (Horsman made the Hanes dolls in other sizes as well.) Body is all cloth, with vinyl hands and head. Hair is molded. The Hanes dolls were made in 1951. This one is in good used condition; doesn't appear to be played with much. The vinyl has darkened some with age, which is normal for these dolls. The vinyl is still in good condition. The lips appear to have been repainted at some time. Doll is very clean, her outfit has been washed and there are no odors.
