Uneeda Blonde Baby Jumper with Pussycat Face and body style
This is a Uneeda doll from the late 1960's. She originally came with a little hanging seat that you could hang in a doorway so the doll could bounce up and down. We also had those bouncy seats for real babies when I was a kid: I think they were discontinued in favor of swingsets, which were safer.
Baby Jumper has the same face as Madame Alexander's Pussycat dolls. Uneeda didn't use this face style for very long, but MA is still making Pussycat dolls. (There was also a doll company in Canada that made this doll face for a year or two.) I believe the body style is like Pussycat's as well.
She is wearing a red and white playsuit that is original (we had another redhead Baby Jumper recently with a yellow playsuit instead, so this is the original clothing for these dolls.)
She is 20 inches long if you measure from the top of the head to the knee, and then from the knee to the bottom of the foot. (That has been the traditional way to measure these old babydolls which have a deep bend in the knee
) If you just measure top of head to the bottom of the foot then she's shorter (approx 18"), but the doll does wear 20 inch size doll clothes.
She has a vinyl head with 3/4 vinyl arms and legs and a stuffed cloth body. Eyes are bright and pretty: they open and close properly and she has all her lashes.
