This hard plastic doll was made in the 1940's or 1950's. These are very pretty hard plastic dolls. And the material seems to be a better grade or different plastic formula than the hard plastic that gets odors. I have not seen these HP dolls come up very often.
Uneeda HP Bride Doll AO with Box
Our sweet little bride doll is all hard plastic, jointed at hips shoulders and neck. She is a strung doll. She is 14 inches tall. Her wigged hair is lovely blonde saran, in the original set. This doll is in mint condition for her age: pristine and perfect. Her blue eyes are clear with full lashes, and open/close freely.
Her gown appears to be original, as well as her little white shoes and socks. Her bridal bouquet is tiny white rosebuds with lilies of the valley and baby's breath: it's quite an elaborate bouquet for a doll. Her face paint is perfect and she has tiny white teeth and a felt tongue.
The box seems to be the right size for her so we might assume that she's possibly a Uneeda doll but there's no proof that Uneeda did actually make her. (It would be helpful if she had a Uneeda hangtag.) Her back is marked: Made in the USA, Patent Pending.
